LG DFS-04 Installation Essentials: Florence, KY

DFS-04 Installation Essentials
Who should attend? Employees and sub-contractors of our Representatives / Distribution partners who will be engaging in field installation of LG DFS equipment.
What you will learn: The manufacturer’s guidelines for installing the piping and wiring systems connected to the indoor and outdoor LG DFS air conditioning equipment.
How you will learn: This class begins with a brief introduction to LG Inverter equipment, followed by lectures about product installation (Emphasis is placed on piping and control wiring.) PowerPoint presentation and discussions will also cover charging and pre-commissioning tasks that must be completed before startup. During lab activities students will be introduced to LG SIM 2.0 (LG Monitoring View Software) which is the tool that must be used to evaluate equipment performance.
Prerequisites: 1) Advanced technical knowledge of Residential A/C, Heat Pump, and Air Distribution systems. 2) Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Power Point and Word.
What to bring to class: 1) Laptop PC * running Windows Vista, 7, 8, 10 with a web browser of Internet Explorer 8.0 or higher with a minimum of Excel, Power Point, and Word installed.
*Students that want LGMV installed onto their PC

LG SIM 2.0 & LGMV:
Students that are interested in the LG SIMS 2.0 or LGMV PC version should reach out to their Representative or Distributor, for the correct LG SIMS 2.0 or LGMV kit to order.

Steam Heating System Training: Florence, KY

Each participant will receive a copy of the book "Linhardt's Field Guide to Steam Heating". The class will consist of training from the book and samples of vintage steam heating components, including steam traps, steam air vents, steam pressure controls, boiler return traps, and radiator valves.
Main topics will include:
- the basic steam cycle
- the generation and distribution of steam
- the elimination of air
- the return of the condensate to the boiler.
Side topics will include:
- troubleshooting techniques
- solving water hammer problems
- the Hartford Loop.

LG DFS-10 Service Essentials: Florence, KY

DFS-10 Service Essentials
Who should attend? Employees and sub-contractors of our Representatives / Distribution partners who will be engaging in the service and repair of LG DFS air conditioning equipment.
What you will learn: You will become familiar with LG DFS equipment PCBs, EEVs, BLDC Motors, compressors and other components. On a modular level the student will learn the part each component plays in a correctly operating LG DFS system. Indoor and outdoor electrical connections and interrelationships will be discussed. Physical access to all major functional components will be covered along with practical guidance concerning the service and maintenance of LG DFS equipment.
How you will learn: The student will be guided through the steps of the troubleshooting process by means of classroom lecture and reinforcement of lessons by practical hands on exercises on live equipment in the lab. During lab activities students will use LG SIM 2.0 (LG Monitoring View Software) to evaluate and troubleshoot LG DFS equipment in lab activities.
